Sewing and more Sewing! :)

I am going to finally post something!

In my last post, I mentioned that I started sewing 18" doll clothes. Now I am selling them as well!

I had a booth at a local conference for three days and sold most of my inventory which was about 40 outfits! I had great fun visiting with the other expo hall people and seeing what hobbies/crafts other people do. For example, guns that shoot marshmallows, necklaces that are made with bullet shells, beautiful paintings, and decorated hats!

One of the weirdest happenings was when I was taking down my booth. This man came up and asked if I was the owner of the booth, I said yes and he handed me a five dollar bill! The thoughts running through my head went something like this:
"Why a five dollar bill?"
"Maybe I dropped one and he wants to return it?"
"No, I have run through my records, I still have the right amount"
"WHY???"

As though he read my thoughts, he said, "I have been praying and feel led by the Lord to give the owner of this booth five dollars"

With questions still running through my head, I accepted it and said thank you.

No, what does a person do with five dollars that she didn't earn? Give it away of course! So, I found the booth of Gospel for Asia (www.gfa.org) and handed it to them.

That episode over, I proceeded to our mini van and attempted to load books from the book sale my mom went to, everything for my siblings booth (www.tasteforhealth.blogspot.com), all the stuff from my booth, and seven people!!!

Needless to say, we couldn't get it all in, we had to put some of the stuff in another family's car.

We got home and went to bed as soon as we could get the van unloaded and eat dinner.

Well, now I am REALLY tired and am going to bed VERY soon!

Overdue Update

Wow, lots has happened since my last post. I am now making doll clothes in big quantities. Did I say big? I meant HUGE! My goal is to make 40 garments before December 3rd. I don't know how I well I will do with that, but so far I am on track!
I have also made more miniature dolls, fancy boxes for packaging products, and more jewelry, as well as cooking two meals a day for my whole family and keeping up with school and chores!
That said, I have been a bit too busy to write any posts and this one is going to have to be short. :(
